Emperor Coins Shut Down By Hostdime.com
by admin - 02 September, 2008
I was just notified by the company hosting our servers, hostdime.com, that the script running the emperorcoins.com site has been disabled by them due to the script supposedly using too many resources on the server.
This is hard to believe, that the ClickCart Pro script is using too many server resources. I have had the same script installed on the same server for emperorcoins.com since 2005 and this is the very first time that I have heard of such a problem existing. Additionally, this same script was installed at blueaegis.com from 2005 until earlier this year, and also on pandadecor.com from 2007 to only last week. I also used this script with other websites that I once hosted on the hostdime.com servers, including threegeorges.com. Never was there any problem with this script until now.
There are a few reasons that I can think of for hostdime.com shutting down the emperorcoins.com site: (a) hostdime.com's servers are experiencing problems and they "think" the problem is coming from emperorcoins.com, (b) hostdime.com's servers have become the target of a hacker attack and it is reflecting negatively in the logs for emperorcoins.com, or (c) hostdime.com's servers simply need to be upgraded but instead of upgrading the servers they are downgrading the availability of server resources available to their resellers.
I have responded back to hostdime.com regarding my views on the matter and will follow up with a telephone call to them in a few hours when there are people in the office that I can speak with. Until then and until I get this problem sorted out, emperorcoins.com is shut down.
